How Universal Tutor Hub collects, uses and protects your personal information — written in plain English, without the legal fog.

Who we are
Universal Tutor Hub ("we", "us", "our") provides one-to-one online tutoring to students worldwide. We are based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@universaltutorhub.com or through our contact page.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, please ask us — we would rather explain it than have you agree to something you do not understand.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a free demo, enquire, or sign up, we collect the name and email address of the person booking, the student's name, subject, level and exam board, your country or time zone, and anything else you choose to tell us about the student's goals or needs. If you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we will have your phone number.
Information from your use of the site. Like most websites, we receive basic technical data automatically — such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit — which helps us keep the site secure and understand what is useful.
Session information. Tutors keep brief records of lessons, such as topics covered and progress notes, so that teaching can be planned and reported to you. We do not record video sessions by default; if we ever wanted to record a session, we would ask for your consent first.
Payment information. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and basic billing details, but we do not store your full card number.
How we use your information
We use your information to match you with a suitable tutor; to schedule and deliver sessions; to communicate with you about bookings, progress and support; to take payment for paid plans; to improve our teaching and our website; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Our legal bases (where UK/EU law applies)
Where data-protection law such as the UK or EU GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases: contract (to provide the tutoring you have booked); legitimate interests (to run, secure and improve our service, and to respond to enquiries); consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing emails, which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (for accounting and record-keeping).
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and only with: the tutor assigned to the student (so they can teach effectively); service providers who help us run the business — including our video-calling platform, our scheduling tool (Calendly), our live-chat provider (Tawk.to), email and hosting providers, and payment processors; and professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.
Our service providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Students under 18
Many of our students are children. Where a student is under 18, we deal with the parent or guardian, who makes the booking and is responsible for the account. We ask parents to be present or nearby for younger children's sessions, and we do not knowingly collect more information about a child than we need in order to teach them.
Every tutor is interviewed, qualification-verified and background-checked before teaching. If you believe a child's information has been provided to us without a parent or guardian's involvement, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to make the site work. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using analytics cookies, which help us understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may be less convenient.
Live chat
We use a third-party live-chat service (Tawk.to) so you can message us directly from the site. If you start a chat, your messages and basic technical details are processed by that provider in order to deliver the conversation, and it may set its own cookies. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
International transfers
We are based in Pakistan and our tutors and service providers may be located in other countries, so your information may be transferred outside your own country — including outside the UK or EEA. Where we do this, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to a comparable standard.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are a customer, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can answer questions, resolve disputes and meet our accounting and legal obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or anonymise it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including restricting access to those who need it. No online service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise — but if a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, or to restrict or object to how we use it. You can also withdraw consent for marketing or non-essential cookies at any time. Email info@universaltutorhub.com and we will respond as quickly as we can.
If you are in the UK or EU and you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top always shows when it last changed, and we will highlight significant changes on the site.

This policy is written to be clear and honest about our actual practices. It is not legal advice, and if you are relying on it for compliance in a specific jurisdiction you should have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer there.
